Andreas Haefliger in Copenhagen

2013-06-03

On June 5th, pianist Andreas Haefliger will give a chamber music recital – which will be repeated on June 7th – featuring Karen Gomyo (violin), Benjamin Schmid (violin), Lise Berthaud (viola), and Christian Poltera (cello). The program will include works by Schumann, Berio, Shostakovich, and Kodaly. The two recitals will take place at Copenhagen’s Louisiana Museum, and their concept is very special: the 5 musicians and the audience (up to 45 people) are invited to feel at home, to share a common space, to break the usual balcony-parterre barrier. The intention is for each of them to feel that they are welcoming the other 49 into their home; therefore, the recitals will start with a champagne glass and will end with a dinner in which everyone will participate.
