Madrid’s Teatro de La Zarzuela will stage a double program dedicated to Valencian composer José Serrano. Baritone César San Martín will feature in “La Reina Mora”, a farce in four scenes based on the book by Álvarez Quinteros’ brothers — Serafín and Joaquín — that premiered at the Teatro Apolo in 1903. The program will also include “Alma de Dios”, with performances from January 18th to February 10th. Stage direction will be entrusted to Jesús Castejón, featuring the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Titular del Teatro de La Zarzuela, and Coro del Teatro de La Zarzuela, with musical direction by José María Moreno.
