Carmen Romeu and Marifé Nogales to sing in La casa de Bernarda Alba at the Teatro de la Zarzuela of Madrid

From November 10th through 22nd the Teatro de la Zarzuela will be presenting a new version for chamber orchestra of La casa de Bernarda Alba by Miguel Ortega, with libretto by Julio Ramos, based on the play by Federico García Lorca. This new Teatro de la Zarzuela production features soprano Carmen Romeu, in the role of Adela, and mezzo soprano Marifé Nogales, in the role of Amelia. The musical director is Rubén Fernández Aguirre and he will be conducting the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid and the Coro del Teatro de la Zarzuela. Stage direction is by Bárbara Lluch.

Carmen Romeu's future engagements also include the concert Las Boulanger y sus discípulos at the Fundación Juan March. And we will be able to hear Marifé Nogales again soon in St Matthew Passion at the Gran Teatro of Córdoba.
