Soprano Carmen Romeu has been widely acclaimed by her performance as Musetta in Giacomo Puccini’s “La Bohème”, which has closed ABAO’s 61st season. Ms. Romeu has appeared in five performances of the work, with stage direction by Emilio Sagi and music by conductor Miguel Ángel Gómez Martínez. Her outstanding work within the cast has been one of the most widely acclaimed by both the audience and the critics.

…”The bohemians were excellent though [...] and even better was Carmen Romeu’s Musetta in her double role as singer and actress”. Asier Vallejo Ugarte (“DEIA”)

…”It is worth highlighting soprano Carmen Romeu’s performance, in both her singing – with a powerful voice – and her natural and uninhibited theatrical appearance”. Nino Dentici (“El Correo”)

The singer will shortly return to Pesaro’s Rossini Opera Festival to play the leading role in “La Donna del Lago”, with musical direction by Alberto Zedda.
