Carmen Romeu will be Fiordiligi in the Così fan tutte staged by the Teatre Principal de Palma

Così fan tutte, the last of the three masterpieces by Mozart and Lorenzo Da Ponte, after Le nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni, will be on the stage of the Teatre Principal de Palma on April 2nd, 5th, 7th and 9th. The soprano Carmen Romeu, a native of Valencia, will give life to Fiordiligi, Guglielmo's fiancée. This production, which was a commission by Claudio Abbado to the stage director Mario Martone, is from the Teatro di San Carlo of Naples. The musical director will be Doménico Longo, who will be conducting the Orquesta Sinfónica de las Islas Baleares and the Coro del Teatre Principal de Palma.
Recent performances by the soprano include Idomeneo at the Palau de les Arts, Clementina at the Teatro de la Zarzuela and at the Auditorio Manuel de Falla, with the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, Las Golondrinas at the Teatro de la Zarzuela and at Teatro Campoamor de Oviedo, Rossini's Otello and La Bohème at the Teatro di San Carlo of Naples.
