Gregory Kunde to perform at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and Arena di Verona Opera Festival

2018-06-13

For June 23rd the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées has programmed a concert of works by Rossini and Verdi, with American tenor Gregory Kunde as soloist. Uruguayan soprano María José Siri will also be a soloist. Performing together at this concert they will certainly be one of the most beautiful opera duos to perform at this end-of-season event at the Parisian theatre. They will be accompanied by the Teatro Comunale di Bologna orchestra, conducted by Michele Mariotti.

Starting on June 30th, the Arena di Verona Opera Festival will be staging Turandot by Giacomo Puccini, with stage direction by Franco Zeffirelli. Gregory Kunde has been chosen to sing Calaf in the first performance. He will be led by Maestro Daniel Oren and accompanied on stage by Anna Pirozzi (Turandot), Antonello Ceron (Altoum), Giorgio Giuseppini (Timur) and Vittoria Yeo (Liù), among others.

We will see Gregory Kunde again soon in Aida, also at the Arena Opera Festival, and also as musical director of Il Barbiere di Siviglia at La Fenice, in Venice.
