2013-06-03

On June 8th, Henning Kraggerud will perform and also conduct the Kammerorchester Basel in a concert entitled “Northern Lights over Sanssouci – Highlights of the Norwegian Romanticism”, within the framework of the Potsdam Sanssouci Music Festival. The program will include works by Ole Bull, Grieg, Christian Sinding (1856-1941), Johan Halvorsen, and Johan Severin Svendsen. Subsequently, on June 19th and 22nd, Kraggerud will appear at the Vestfold International Festival with two solo recitals in which he will perform a very special program – “Munch – Suite for Violin”, a work made up by 15 small pieces commissioned for the Festival to 15 composers that have been inspired by Munch’s paintings and written for Kragerrud. The paintings will be projected during the performance of the pieces. From June 25th to 30th, the violinist will actively participate in the Risor Festival, of which he is artistic co-director, together with viola player Lars Anders Tomter.
