Leo Muscato stages Nabucco, by Verdi, at the Greek National Opera

One of Verdi's most popular operas, Nabucco, will once again be presented at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, in a Greek National Opera production with stage direction by the Italian director Leo Muscato. Nabucco, a four-part lyrical tragedy with music by the genius from Busseto and libretto by Temistocle Solera, based on the Old Testament and the work Nabuchodonosor by Anicète Bourgeois and Francis Cornue, will be on stage June 1st, 3rd, 6th and 8th. Philippe Auguin, as musical director, will stand before the Orchestra and Chorus of the Greek National Opera. The celebrated Greek baritone Dimitri Platanias, in the title role, will be accompanied by Sae Kyung Rim in the role of Abigaille.
Leo Muscato's future engagements include Tosca and Rigoletto at the San Carlo Opera Festival.
