Madrid’s Teatro Real will stage Puccini’s “Sour Angelica” featuring Sandra Ferrández

Beginning on November 2nd, Madrid’s Teatro Real will house four performances of Giacomo Puccini’s “Sour Angelica”. The cast will include soprano Sandra Ferrández. The work will be part of a double program, including also Luigi Dallapiccola’s “Il Prigioniero”. Both operas, so different in their time and style, will be performed together for the first time. This is a new production by the Teatro Real, in collaboration with Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu, staged by Lluis Pasqual. German Ingo Metzmacher will make his debut at the above-mentioned theater conducting the Coro y Orquesta Titulares del Teatro Real.
