Ópera de Las Palmas presents the double-bill programme Gianni Schicchi/Trouble in Tahiti, with stage direction by Alfonso Romero Mora

The Amigos Canarios de la Ópera have programmed, for the current season, Gianni Schicchi/Trouble in Tahiti, with stage direction by Alfonso Romero Mora. Gianni Schicchi, a comic opera in one act with music by Giacomo Puccini and Italian-language libretto by Giovacchino Forzano, and Trouble in Tahiti, an opera in one act and seven scenes with music and words by Leonard Bernstein, will be on the stage of the Teatro Pérez Galdos from March 13th to 17th. This new production by the Canary Islands Friends of the Opera will be conducted by Miquel Ortega, leading the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria and the Coro de la Ópera de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, along with a highly respected cast of singers.
Stage director Alfonso Romero Mora's upcoming engagements include Andrea Chénier at the Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari, El gato montés at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern and Luisa Fernanda at the Auditorio de Tenerife.
