Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza presents “Aida” with bass Dmitry Ulyanov as Ramfis

On October 25th, Verdi’s opera “Aida” will inaugurate the 2013-2014 Season at Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza, in a co-production by Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu and Festival Internacional de Santander. Bass Dmitry Ulyanov returns to this stage to play the role of Ramfis. Stage direction is provided by José Antonio Gutiérrez, with historical scenography by Josep Mestres Cabanes and Jordi Castells. The Coro de la Asociacion de Amigos del Teatro de la Maestranza and Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla will be conducted by Maestro Pedro Halffter. Dmitry Ulyanov will sing six performances, on October 25th, 28th and 31st and November 3rd, 6th and 9th.
