Simone Lamsma with the Noord Nederlands Orkest

2013-01-15

On January 31st and February 1st and 2nd, Simone Lamsma will play Max Bruch’s “Concert for Violin in G Minor op. 26” featuring the Noord Nederlands Orkest, conducted by Stefan Asbury, in Leeuwarden (De Harmonie) and Groningen (De Oosterpoort - Grote Zaal). Additionally, on February 2nd and 3rd, Ms. Lamsma will teach a workshop in Groningen (De Oosterpoort) for young instrumentalists, and will give a chamber music recital together with cellist Andreas Brantelid and pianist Robert Kulek.
It is also worth noting that in December last year, apart from her originally foreseen concerts, Simone Lamsma also played — and was highly acclaimed by — Mendelssohn’s “Concert for Violin” with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and Sir Neville Marriner, on January 13th and 15th, in Utrecht and Eindhoven, having been invited to those two concerts with less than 24 hours in advance.
