Milan’s Teatro alla Scala presents Hector Berlioz’ “Les Troyens” with tenor Gregory Kunde in the role of Enée. This grand opera in five acts, with libretto by Hector Berlioz, is presented in a co-production with the San Francisco Opera, Wiener Staatsopera and London’s Royal Opera House, where the premiere took place in June of 2012. With stage direction by David McVicar, this production is well-known as it was already released on DVD. The tenor previously performed the same role to high acclaim, which was also recorded and released on DVD. This performance will be conducted by Maestro Antonio Pappano, who conducted Gregory Kunde’s debut performance in “Peter Grimes” last year. A prestigious cast will be performing six shows of the masterpiece from April 8th to the 30th.
