The ABAO premieres Verdi's I Masnadieri, with Leo Muscato as stage director

The Italian stage director Leo Muscato will be in charge of the staging of Verdi's eleventh opera, I Masnadieri, at the Palacio de Euskalduna of Bilbao. Programmed by the ABAO-OLBE for October 21st, 24th, 27th and 30th, this is the 27th work in the 'Programa Tutto Verdi,' an initiative undertaken by ABAO to deepen the Bilbao association's close relationship with the Italian composer by performing all of Verdi's opera in all of their versions, between the 2006-2007 season the 2020-2021 season.
This co-production with the Teatro Regio di Parma will be conducted by Maestro Miguel Ángel Gómez Martínez, who will lead the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa and the chorus of the Bilbao Opera, as well as a cast comprised, among others, of Vicenzo Constanzo (Carlo), Carmen Giannattasio (Amalia), Vladimir Stoyanov (Francesco) and Mika Kares (Massimiliano).
Leo Muscato's upcoming engagements include Carmen at the Opera di Firenze and I Masnadieri again at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo.
