The baritone Damián del Castillo will sing the title role of Rigoletto at the Ópera de Oviedo

From January 26th to February 4th we will be able to see Rigoletto at the Teatro Campoamor of Oviedo. This opera by Giuseppe Verdi, with libretto by Francisco María Piave, is based on Victor Hugo's play Le roi s’amuse. Guy Joosten is in charge of the stage direction of this production by the Opéra de Saint-Étienne and Marzio Conti will be conducting the Orquesta Oviedo Filarmonía and the Coro de la Ópera de Oviedo. The leading role of this three-act melodrama by Verdi will be performed by the baritone Damián del Castillo.
In the near future we will also be able to see Damián del Castillo in a concert version of Thaïs at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, in Bomarzo at the Teatro Real of Madrid and also in Marina at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
