Vasily Petrenko conducts the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in performances of eight symphonies by Beethoven

Vasily Petrenko will lead the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, of which he is the resident conductor, in concerts with Beethoven's symphonies -1 to 8. The concerts will take place on September 15th, 17th and 22nd at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall, at 7:30 p.m.
Soon thereafter Maestro Petrenko will stand before his other orchestra, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, to offer a performance on September 29th of Prokofiev's Symphony No. 1 in D major, known as the "Classical" symphony, and also the Enigma Variations by Elgar. Then, on the 30th, he will conduct the same orchestra performing Dvorák's Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104, with Truls Mørk as soloist.
On October 10th the Russian maestro will be in Madrid, with the Orquesta de Cadaqués, to give a concert in the Auditorio Nacional. The concert will include works by Torres, Mussorgsky and Tchaikovsky.
