Vasily Petrenko will be conducting the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya in 3 concerts that will be housed by  Barcelona's Auditori on April 13th, 14th, and 15th, within the framework of “Aniversaris 2012”. The program will include Montsalvatge’s “Sortilegis”; Brahms’s “Concert for Violin and Orchestra”, featuring Japanese violinist Midori; and Elgar’s “Variações Enigma”. Subsequently, on April 20th and 21st, Mr. Petrenko will conduct the Orquesta Sinfonica Castilla y León at the Auditorio Miguel Delibes. The program will include James McMillan’s “Concert for Violin” (premiere in Spain), featuring Vadim Repin, and Rachmaninoff’s “Symphony No. 2 in E Minor Op. 27”.
