Alfonso Romero Mora conducts Luisa Fernanda at the Auditorio de Tenerife

On June 30th the Auditorio de Tenerife will receive one of the most highly acclaimed works of the Spanish zarzuela tradition, Luisa Fernanda, by Federico Moreno Torroba. This comic opera in three acts takes place in Madrid prior to the Glorious Revolution of 1868, in a setting divided between monarchists and liberals. It will be presented under the stage direction of the Madrid-born Alfonso Romero Mora, who has already directed this zarzuela in Germany, at the Theater Nordhausen. Leading the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife and the Coro Ópera de Tenerife will be Maestro Oliver Díaz.

Among Alfonso Romero Mora's upcoming projects special mention must go to La Gazzetta at the Kammeroper Hamburg and La Cenerentola at the Theater Koblenz.
