Andrés Veramendi gave an excellent performance as Edmondo in “Manon Lescaut” at Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza

Andrés Veramendi recently received rave reviews for his role as Edmondo in Giacomo Puccini’s opera “Manon Lescaut.” The opera was performed on four occasions at Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza, on December 5th, 8th, 11th and 14th, with a Turin Teatro Regio’s production. With the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, conducted by Pedro Halffter. The public and critics received the performance to high acclaim.

”…special mention goes to Andrés Veramendi. The Maestranza audience were especially excited about Arteta, Halffter and Veramendi, as always with generous applause,” Gonzalo Alonso (La Razón)

”Also worthy of mention is Andrés Veramendi’s excellent secondary role as Edmondo the student, who giaves a very ambitious performance despite the limited role, achieving very moving phrasing in the style of Puccini, elevated with enviable timbre and color.”  Luis Fco. Gordillo Navarro (DoceNotas)
