Bass Wojtek Gierlach Will Be a Member of the Cast in “Guillaume Tell” at Pesaro’s Rossini Opera Festival


The program of Pesaro’s 34th Rossini Opera Festival will include “Guillaume Tell”, featuring bass Wojtek Gierlach in the role of Leuthold. This Polish singer, who is a renowned Rossinian performer, will return once again to the Festival to take part in a new production, featuring stage direction by Graham Vick, next to an outstanding cast, including Juan Diego Flórez and Marina Rebeka. Beginning on August 11th, there will be four performances at Pesaro’s Adriatic Arena. Michele Mariotti will be conducting the Orchestra e Coro del Teatro Comunale de Bologna.

Prior to that, Wojtek Gierlach will appear once again at the 23rd Mozart Festival in Warsaw, playing the leading role in “Don Giovanni”. The show will be housed by the courtyard of the Wilanow Palace Museum on July 20th. Zbigniew Graca will be conducting the Warsaw Chamber Opera Chorus and the Warsaw Chamber Opera.
