Bonn’s Opernhaus will stage Händel’s “Jephtha” featuring musical direction by Andreas Spering


Beginning on December 9th, Bonn’s Opernhaus will stage “Jephtha”, an oratorio in three acts by Georg Friedrich Händel to a libretto by Thomas Morrell. The opera is considered to be Händel’s last masterpiece, and the composer himself directed its premiere at London’s Covent Garden in 1752. The show features stage direction by Dietrich W. Hilsdorf. Conductor Andreas Spering will be in charge of musical direction as the renowned expert on the composer that he is. The performances will also feature the Chor und Extractor des Theater Bonn and the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn.
