Carmen Romeu’s Musetta is still being praised. The Rossini Opera Festival 2013 has announced “La Donna del Lago”, with the soprano in the leading role


Praises keep on coming for Giacomo Puccini’s “La Bohème”, staged by Valencia’s Palau De Les Arts, featuring conductor Riccardo Chailly’s brilliant debut and the unanimously distinguished performance of soprano Carmen Romeu in the role of Musetta.

The much-awaited release of this performance in DVD and Blu-ray formats has also been announced. The soprano will feature also this year at Pesaro’s Rossini Opera Festival, in its 34th edition, playing the leading role (Elena) in “La Donna del Lago”. The show will be housed by the Teatro Rossini, and there will also be a live broadcast at the Piazza del Popolo. Alberto Zedda will be conducting the Orchestra e Coro del Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
