Carmen Romeu will sing El sombrero de tres picos with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado

The Mahler Chamber Orchestra will be touring Spain, performing under the baton of Maestro Pablo Heras-Casado in several different cities. The Valencia-born soprano Carmen Romeu will be soloist at Manuel de Falla's El sombrero de tres picos, which has been programmed in commemoration of the hundredth anniversary of its premiere. On April 10th it will be performed at the L’Auditori de Barcelona, along with El Amor Brujo sung by Marina Heredia. On the 11th the programme will be repeated at the Auditorio de Zaragoza, where, in addition to the two pieces by Falla, Stravinski's Pulcinella Suite will also be performed. On April 12th the programme will be performed once again, this time in Murcia, at that city's Auditorio y Centro de Congresos. And in July it will be the closing event of the Festival de Música y Danza de Granada.

Prior to these concerts, on April 3rd, Carmen Romeu will be singing at the Fundación Juan March in a recital with the pianist Husan Park, as part of the cycle Las Boulanger y sus discípulos (The Boulanger sisters and their disciples).
