Dmitry Ulyanov will be Philip II, King of Spain, in the Don Carlo staged by the Bolshoi Theatre of Moscow


On January 23rd and 25th the bass Dmitry Ulyanov will sing the role of Philip II in Verdi's opera Don Carlo. Alongside the Russian singer will be Yusif Eyvazov (Don Carlo), Christoph Pohl (Rodrigo, Marquis of Posa), Anna Nechaeva (Elizabeth of Valois), Ekaterina Gubanova (Princess Eboli) and Vyacheslav Pochapsky (the Great Inquisitor), all conducted by Keri-Lynn Wilson. Stage direction is in the hands of British director Adrian Noble.

Among Dmitry Ulyanov's upcoming engagements we would highlight Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District at the Opéra National de Paris and also Les Contes d’Hoffmann at the National Centre for the Performing Arts of Beijing.
