Emilio López to conduct Puccini's Turandot at the Teatro Cervantes of Málaga

The stage direction of Turandot, an opera in three acts with music by Giacomo Puccini and Italian libretto by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni, programmed by the Teatro Cervantes of Málaga for November 3rd and 5th, has been entrusted to the Valencia native Emilio López. Stage production of this dramatic opera in three acts and five scenes is by Teatro de la Maestranza, with staging and costuming based on an idea conceived by Jean-Pierre Ponelle and updated by the theatre. On this occasion Arturo Díez Boscovich will be the conductor and he will be leading the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga, the Escolanía de Santa María de la Victoria, the Coro de Ópera de Málaga and the outstanding participating cast.
In future engagements Emilio López will direct the revival of the Davide Livermore production of Norma, which is programmed at the ABAO this season.
