Francisco Corujo and David Sánchez participate in the concert version of the opera Lucrezia Borgia, in A Coruña


The Association Friends of the Opera of A Coruña has programmed a concert performance of the Gaetano Donizetti opera Lucrezia Borgia for September 23rd. This opera in two acts and a prologue, with libretto by Felice Romani based on Victor Hugo's eponymous play, brings to life an episode in the life of the daughter of the Borgia. With other grand performers, tenor Francisco Corujo and bass David Sánchez will sing in this masterpiece of bel canto performed at the Teatro Colón de A Coruña. Leading the Coro Gaos and the Sinfónica de Galicia will be a highly-respected conductor with great experience in bel canto, Andrei Yurkevich.
David Sánchez' upcoming and recent engagements include El barbero de Sevilla, a Giménez Nieto zarzuela, at the Teatro Principal of Castellón, Macbeth, at the Teatro Real of Madrid, Un ballo in maschera in A Coruña, Pelléas et Mélisande at the Teatro Campoamor of Oviedo, Andrea Chénier at the Liceu of Barcelona, La tabernera del puerto at the Teatro de la Zarzuela and Manon Lescaut, also at the Liceu.
