Francisco Corujo honoured with an award at the Manhattan International Music Competition of New York


The tenor Francisco Corujo has received an important award in New York as part of the Manhattan International Music Competition, which awards prizes to musicians of various nationalities, age 35 and under, in the categories of voice, piano and strings. The purpose of the competition, according to its organisers, is “to discover artists of outstanding personality and provide awards which can help to launch international careers”.
The jury of the voice category was comprised of great personalities in the world of music, such as Philippe Jaurossky, Teresa Berganza, Peter Edelman, Thomas Quastoff and Ivo Pogorelich, who has become the Competition's honorary president.
