Freddy Kempf in the United Kingdom and Germany


In October and early November, pianist Freddy Kempf will give concerts and recitals both in the United Kingdom and Germany. On October 6th and 7th, the pianist played Rachmaninoff’s “Paganini’s Rhapsody” with St. Petersburg’s Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Alexander Dimitriev, a work he also played on October 17th, 19th, and 20th in London (Cadogan Hall), Sheffield, and Swansea. Meanwhile, on October 9th, 12th, and 13th, the pianist played Rachmaninoff’s “Concert No. 3”, also with St. Petersburg’s Symphonic Orchestra, this time conducted by Vladimir Altschuler. Finally, on October 18th, 26th, and 31st and on November 1st and 4th, the pianist will give a recital in Stratford-upon-Avon, Antweiler (Germany), Yeovil, Truro, and Southend, with a program that will include works by Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin, and Schumann. On November 9th, Mr. Kempf will perform in Belfast playing Prokofiev’s “Concert No. 3” with the Ulster Orchestra conducted by James MacMillan.
