Gregory Kunde sings Otello at Pamplona's Baluarte, with stage direction by Alfonso Romero Mora and the participation of Francisco Corujo and Jeroboám Tejera


Verdi's penultimate work, Otello, with libretto by Arrigo Boito based on Shakespeare's play Othello, is to be staged at the Baluarte theatre of Pamplona on January 31st and February 3rd. Gregory Kunde will be the Moor of Venice in this Teatro Principal de Palma production that will be directed by Alfonso Romero Mora. The American tenor has sung this role in theatres as relevant as the Royal Opera House of London, the Fenice of Venice, the Scala of Milan, the Liceu of Barcelona and the Teatro Real of Madrid. The cast also features the tenor Francisco Corujo, as Casio, and the bass Jeroboám Tejera. In the pit we will find the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra with Ramón Tebar conducting.
