Gregory Kunde tours Japan with the Royal Opera House singing the title role of Otello, by Verdi


The Royal Opera House production of Verdi's Otello, by Keith Warner, will be on tour in various cities of Japan from September 14th to September 23rd. The title role will be sung by Gregory Kunde, who will be accompanied on stage by Hrachuhi Bassenz as Desdemona and Geral Finley as Iago. All will be singing under the guidance of Antonio Pappano leading the Royal Opera House Orchestra and Chorus. On September 14th and 16th Otello will be at the Kanagawa Kenmin Hall and on the 21st and 23rd it will be at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.

Kunde will embody Otello once again in this same production from December 9th to 22nd, this time in London. On this occasion he will be accompanied by Ermonela Jaho as Desdemona and conducted by Maestro Pappano again.
