Juan Jesús Rodríguez makes his debut at the Metropolitan Opera House of New York with Il Trovatore


On February 3rd, 6th, 9th and 13th Juan Jesús Rodríguez will be at the Metropolitan Opera House, singing the role of Count di Luna in Il Trovatore, by Verdi. This performance is the Spanish baritone’s debut at the famed New York City theatre. Singing with him will be Angela Meade as Leonora, Marcello Giordani as Manrico and Dolora Zajick, as Azucena. Marco Armiliato is the musical director of Sir David McVicar’s Goya-inspired production.
Juan Jesús Rodríguez is one of today’s leading Verdian baritones. His recent engagements include La Traviata and Rigoletto, both at Madrid’s Teatro Real, as well as Otello and Don Carlos at the ABAO-Bilbao and Il Trovatore in A Coruña.
