“La del Manojo de Rosas” at Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza features Carmen Romeu in the lead role and Ruth Iniesta as Clarita


Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza presents Pablo Sorozábal’s “La del Manojo de Rosas.” Soprano Carmen Romeu stars in the lead role of Ascensión, and Ruth Iniesta performs Clarita. This production from Madrid’s Teatro de la Zarzuela is stage directed by Emilio Sagi, and was also presented on that theater last December, with both singers performing the same roles, achieving high public and critical acclaim. Shows will be performed on March 20th, 21st and the 22nd, with the Seville’s Real Orquesta Sinfónica, conducted by Miguel Ángel Gómez Martinez. Carmen Romeu returns to Lisbon’s Teatro Nacional São Carlos on March 15th to perform as a soloist in Franz Joseph Haydn’s oratorio “The Seasons.” On this occasion, the Coro do Teatro Nacional São Carlos and Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa will provide musical accompaniment conducted by Maestro Donato Renzetti. Among Ruth Iniesta next appointment, outstands “L’elisir d’amore" at San Sebastian’s Auditorio Kursaal and at Zaragoza’s Teatro Principal.
