Luis Cansino plays the leading role in Verdi’s “Simon Boccanegra” at Prague’s National Theatre


Prague’s National Theatre, Narodni Divadlo, presents, on October 25th,  Verdi’s “Simon Boccanegra” with baritone Luis Cansino in the leading role, along with an excellent cast and Czech National Opera’s Chorus and Orchestra conducted by Jaroslav Kyzlink. This opera has not been performed at this theater since 1971, making this a special event of the celebration of the bicentennial of Verdi’s birth. The production, by the Welsh National Opera, where premiered on 1997, features stage direction by David Pountney.
