Madrid’s Teatro de la Zarzuela presents “La del Manojo de Rosas” with soprano Carmen Romeu in the lead role


Starting December 18th, the production of Pablo Sorozábal’s “La del Manojo de Rosas” will be performed at Teatro de la Zarzuela. This is one of the composer’s and Teatro de la Zarzuela’s greatest successes. Carmen Romeu plays the role of Ascensión on eleven performances, after her recent highly acclaimed performance on the same stage in the leading role of “Marina.” The soprano recently received the award for Best New Artist at the Oviedo’s Premios Líricos Teatro Campoamor. Emilio Sagi, the stage director, has created one of the best shows of his long, successful career with this opera. With the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid and the Coro del Teatro de la Zarzuela conducted by Miguel Ángel Gómez Martinez.
