Beginning on September 28th, Madrid’s Teatro Real will house a new production of Modest Mussorgsky’s opera “Boris Godunov”. The cast will include bass Dmitry Ulyanov in the role of Pimen, who is already well-known and much-appreciated by his previous performances on that same stage. The opera will be performed integrally for the first time at the Teatro Real, including all ten scenes and the ‘Polish act’. Stage direction will be entrusted to Johan Simons. Hartmut Haenchen will be conducting the Coro y Orquesta Titulares del Teatro Real.
