Maestro Sergio Alapont will conduct Carmen at the Teatro Campoamor of Oviedo

The Ópera de Oviedo will soon be presenting Carmen, the opera in four acts composed by Georges Bizet to a libretto by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, based on the novel Carmen by Prosper Mérimée. It will be staged from January 24th through February 2nd and is Teatro Campoamor's season-closing opera. Maestro Sergio Alapont is in charge of conducting on this occasion and he will stand before the Orquesta Oviedo Filarmonía and the Coro de la Ópera de Oviedo. Carlos Wagner is in charge of directing this production by the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.

Shortly thereafter Sergio Alapont will conduct the Orquesta Sinfónica de Baleares and Le nozze di Figaro at the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara.
