Manuel Coves conducts Orfeo ed Euridice at the Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires


Orfeo ed Euridice, an opera in three acts by the German composer Christoph Willibald von Gluck, with libretto by Raniero di Calzabigi based on the myth of Orpheus, is to be presented at the Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires from November 8th to November 12th. Maestro Manuel Coves is in charge of musical direction and will conduct the Teatro Colón's resident orchestra. Stage direction is by Carlos Trunsky and the performers are Daniel Taylor (Orfeo), Marisú Pavón (Euridice) and Ellen Mc Ateer (Amore).

Among Manuel Coves' upcoming engagements, especially worth highlighting are Carmen by the Compañía Nacional de Danza, with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, and The Nutcracker, also by the CND, at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
