Manuel Coves conducts the ballet Carmen, performed by the Compañía Nacional de Danza, at Semperoper Dresden


The ballet Carmen, choreographed by the Swedish choreographer Johan Inger for the Compañía Nacional de Danza, can be seen at Semperoper Dresden from January 25th through February 24th. Maestro Manuel Coves will stand before the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden to provide the music for this ballet with compositions by Bizet, Shchedrin and Álvarez. Carmen has been honoured with the Venice TV Award 2018 and Johan Inger also received the Benois de la Danse 2016 for this choreography.

Among Maestro Coves' future engagements are a concert with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, with guitarrist Pepe Romero as soloist and also Electra, by the Ballet Nacional de España, in performances in Córdoba, Sant Cugat, Santander and Oviedo.
