Manuel Coves conducts the Verdi Orchestra of Milan in a concert of works by Berio/Boccherini, Rodrigo, Moreno-Torroba and Ravel

On March 1st and 3rd, Maestro Manuel Coves will be conducting the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Guiseppe Verdi in a concert featuring Pepe Romero as soloist. The guitarist will perform two masterpieces that will take us to the heart of Spain: the Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo and the Concierto en Flamenco by Moreno-Torroba.  Manuel Coves, from the podium, will then continue with two works by 20th century masters who imagined and told us about another Spain: Ritirata Notturna di Madrid by Luciano Berio (string quintet arrangement by Luigi Boccherini) and Bolero by Ravel.

Maestro Coves will soon be conducting Electra with the Ballet Nacional de España in Córdoba, Sant Cugat, Santander and Oviedo. He will also be conducting the 30th Anniversary Gala of the Victor Ullate Ballet, to be held at the Teatro Real of Madrid.
