Marta Zabaleta and Miguel Borges Coelho’s resounding success in “Dias da Música 2013”

Miguel Borges Coelho and Marta Zabaleta participated once again in the “Dias da Música” festival, receiving a warm standing ovation by the audience after finishing their four-hand recital. In a completely packed music hall, the “…duo evoked the Schubertiades, offering an excellent performance of Schubert’s Fantasy in F Minor D. 940. A deep harmony was also noticeable in their versions of Schumann’s Impromptus op. 66 (Bilder aus Ostern), inspired by Abu Seid’s Arabic Tales – an example of fascination by the East nurtured by Romantics. The contagious Hungarian Dances by Brahms (Nos. 1 to 5) were the closing piece.” Cristina Fernandes (“Público”). Miguel Borges Coelho also performed with the Prazak Quartet in a widely acclaimed recital that almost filled the CCB’s Pequeno Auditorio.
