Mercedes Arcuri will be Princess Eudoxie in La Juive staged at the Staatsoper Hannover


From September 14th through 27th the Staatsoper Hannover will present La Juive (The Jewess), a grand opéra in five acts with music by Jacques Fromental Halévy and French libretto by Eugène Scribe. Soprano Mercedes Arcuri will give life to the Princess Eudoxie, the emperor's niece. Along with her on stage will be, among others, Hailey Clark and Barno Ismatullaeva (Rachel), Zoran Todorovich (Eleazar), Matthew Newlin (Leopold) and Shavleg Armasi (Cardenal de Brogni). The stage director will be Lydia Steier and the baton will be held by conductors Constantin Trinks and Valtteri Rauhalammi.

In addition, Mercedes Arcuri will soon sing in Märchen im Grand-Hotel and in Alcina, both at the Staatsoper Hannover.
