New production of “Lucia di Lammermoor” with stage direction by Alfonso Romero Mora at the Festival de Ópera de A Coruña

The Asociación de Amigos de la Ópera de A Coruña inaugurates its 61st Opera Festival with Gaetano Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor”. A new production was created for the occasion, with Alfonso Romero Mora as stage director. Two shows will be performed on September 10th and 13th at the Palacio de Ópera in A Coruña. Maestro Ramón Tebar will be conducting the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, along with an excellent cast. Alfonso Romero Mora is remembered and appreciated in A Coruña due to the success of his production of “I Puritani” on the same stage, which will be staged again during the next season of ABAO. “Lucía di Lammermoor” was among the stage director’s most recent productions in Spain, performed for the Asociación Gayarre de Amigos de la Ópera de Navarra last year, at the Teatro Gayarre in Pamplona.
