New production of “Manon Lescaut” at the Graz Opera featuring Javier Franco as Lescaut


Beginning on October 6th, the Graz Opera (Austria) will house Giacomo Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut”. Baritone Javier Franco will play the role of Lescaut in all 13 performances. This is a new co-production by the Semperoper Dresden, featuring stage direction by the well-known Norwegian director Stefan Herheim. Michael Boder, who until recently was the musical director of the Gran Teatro del Liceu, will be conducting the Chor der Oper Graz and Das Grazer Philharmonische Orchester. Mr. Boder is currently the musical director of the Royal Danish Theatre and Orchestra.
