Palma de Mallorca’s Teatre Principal presents a new production of “Otello” with stage direction by Alfonso Romero Mora, conducted by Manuel Coves


A new production of Verdi’s “Otello” premieres on May 18th at Palma de Mallorca’s Teatre Principal as part of the theater’s 28th Opera Season. Alfonso Romero Mora is in charge of stage direction, who has recently presented a revival of “I Puritani” at ABAO, to great acclaim. Maestro Manuel Coves will conduct these performances, with a a prestigious young cast, the Cor del Teatre Principal and the Orquestra Simfónica de les Illes Balears “Ciutat de Palma”. Four performances,  on May 18th, 21st, 23rd and the 25th. Alfonso Romero Mora’s upcoming projects include a new production of “Andrea Chenier” at Peralada’s 28th Festival Castell. Manuel Coves upcoming performances include the Gala de Zarzuela at Bilbao’s Teatro Arriaga and his participation in Santander’s 63rd International Festival with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao.
