Pedro Halffter to conduct a symphonic choral version of Wagner’s Tannhäuser in Málaga


Maestro Pedro Halffter will lead the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga and the Coro de Ópera de Málaga in a symphonic choral version of Tannhäuser, by Wagner. Concerts are programmed for February 27th and 28th in the Teatro Cervantes of the Andalusian city.
Pedro Halffter, who appears regularly on international stages, recently directed Die Schweigsame Frau at the Munich Opera Festival, the Camerata RCO ensemble comprised of members of the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, Otello at the Teatro de la Maestranza, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Saint Petersburg.
Pedro Halffter will soon be at Madrid’s Teatro Real, in the world premiere of the new orchestration, done by the Maestro himself, of Der Kaiser von Atlantis, by Viktor Ullmann.
