Sandra Ferrández sings “Maror” at Valencia’s Palau de Les Arts and “La Corte de Faraón” at Madrid’s Teatros del Canal


Valencia’s Palau de Les Arts presents “Maror” by Manuel Palau on April 24th, 27th and the 30th with stage direction by Antonio Díaz Zamora. Soprano Sandra Ferrández in the role of Teresa. With the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana conducted by Manuel Galduf. The premiere of this dramatic three-act Spanish opera took place at this same stage, on May 23rd 2003. Later, at Madrid’s Teatros del Canal, the singer will perform the role of Lota in Vicente Lleó’s “La Corte de Faraón.” Co-production by Bilbao’s Teatro Arriaga and Oviedo’s Teatro Campoamor, with stage direction by Emilio Sagi. The singer already performed this role to high acclaim for the presentation of the production in Oviedo. Beginning on May 4th, she will sing in five performances of the opera with the Orquesta Sinfónica Verum and Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid conducted by Carlos Cuesta.
