Sergio Escobar will sing the role of Pinkerton in the Dutch National Opera's Madama Butterfly


From April 23rd through May 13th the Dutch National Opera will stage Madama Butterfly, by Puccini, in a production by stage director Robert Wilson. Tenor Sergio Escobar will give life to Pinkerton. Accompanying him on stage will be Elena Stikhina (Madama Butterfly), Enkelejda Shkosa (Suzuki), Anneleen Bijnen (Kate Pinkerton) and Brian Mulligan (Sharpless), among others. Maestro Jader Bignamini will be conducting the Residentie Orkest The Hague and the Chorus of the Dutch National Opera.
