Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza will stage “Rigoletto” featuring Celso Albelo, Dmitry Ulyanov, and Damián del Castillo


On June 19th, Giuseppe Verdi’s “Rigoletto” will premiere at Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza. The outstanding double cast will include tenor Celso Albelo, who will play the role of Duca in four performances. Bass Dmitry Ulyanov will sing the part of Sparafucile in all eight performances, as well as baritone Damián del Castillo in the role of Conde Ceprano. The show has been produced by Teatro Regio di Parma’, with stage direction by Stefano Vizioli. Pedro Halffter, artistic director of the above-mentioned theater, will be conducting the Coro de la A. A. del Teatro de la Maestranza and the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla.
