Soprano Ruth Iniesta will be Glauce in the Medea staged at the Wexford Festival Opera


Ruth Iniesta will give life to Glauce, Creonte's daughter, in a new production of Medea, by Luigi Cherubini, which the Wexford Festival Opera will stage from October 19th to November 3rd. This co-production with Opera Omaha will be directed by the Irish stage director Fiona Shaw and its music will be in the hands of the English conductor Stephen Barlow. In addition to the Zaragoza-born soprano, the cast is comprised, in the main roles, of an outstanding group of international singers such as Lise Davidsen (Medea), Raffaella Lupinacci (Neris), Sergey Romanovsky (Jasón) and Adam Lau (Creonte).
Ruth Iniesta's upcoming engagements include La Bohème at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and also a recital entitled A Joaquín Rodrigo, part of the series 'Notas en el ambigú' at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
