Soprano Ruth Iniesta will be Musetta in the new production of La bohème at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna

A new production of Puccini's La bohème, with libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica and based on the novel Scènes de la vie de bohème (1851) by Henri Murger, will be staged this January at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Ruth Iniesta will give life to the singer Musetta in this tale of frustrated love between Rodolfo and Mimì, set in a Paris full of yearning and poverty. With Paolo Michele Moriotti conducting and Graham Vick as stage director, La bohème will be at the Bologna theatre between January 19th and 29th. Alessandra Marianelli (Mimì), Vicenzo Costanzo (Rodolfo) and Sergio Vitale (Marcello) will accompany the Zaragoza-born soprano in this new staging of Puccini's popular opera.
We will be able to hear Ruth Iniesta again soon in a recital entitled To Joaquín Rodrigo, in the series "Notas en el ambigú" at the Teatro de la Zarzuela of Madrid.
